Editorial team improves accuracy across standards collection
The Academic Benchmarks Editorial Team has kept our standards collection accurate and up to date. As a part of this continual improvement, we recently implemented some important changes to standards documents. Those changes are described below.
1. Document renumbering--Several document were recently renumbered. They were renumbered to match recent updates states had made. The renumbered documents are as follows:
- Kentucky Program of Studies - All Subjects - 2006
- Oregon Standards - All Subjects - Various Years
- Utah Core Curriculum - Social Studies - 2000
2. Document restructuring--In order to better mimic the representation presented by the state, some documents were restructured. In the restructuring, no data was lost; however, some levels of the hierarchy were condensed, resulting in some topics (GUIDs) becoming obsolete. The restructured documents are as follows:
- Alaska Grade Level Expectations - Mathematics 2005
- Alaska Grade Level Expectations - Reading 2005
- Alaska Grade Level Expectations - Writing 2005
- California Content Standards - Science 1998
- Connecticut Curriculum Frameworks - Science 2005
- Georgia Performance Standards - Science 2004
- Indiana Academic Standards - Science 2000
- Massachusetts Curriculum Framework - Science and Technology 2001 and 2006
- Missouri Grade Level Expectations - Science 2005
- New York Core Curriculum - Science 1999
- Ohio Academic Content Standards - Science 2003
3. Document reorganizing--In response to customer requests to structure course-based standards in multiple formats, a portion of our previously-released high school standards were reorganized to support additional formats. Please see Course-based standards reorganized to better fit clients' needs for detailed information about these changes, as well as a schedule of implementation.
