To support its solid foundation of nearly 200 clients within the K-12 education industry and promote its recent technology advances, Academic Benchmarks has created a position focused on deepening existing client relationships. Client Engagement is charged with maximizing the client investment in Academic Benchmarks, further enhancing the value of company’s suite of services to these clients, and, ultimately, increasing the AB revenue generated from these clients. The position will continue to evolve based on the success and input of the candidate.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Engage the existing client base and larger education market to better understand client current adoption and application of AB services.
  • Research client products, business objectives and competitive landscape.
  • Assess and propose the most effective implementation of AB offerings in the context of the determined client needs.
  • Collect, document, and sponsor the functional requirements for new tools and services.
  • Serve as a primary connection between the client and AB Product and Programming resources. Collaborate with AB team members to deliver quality services against client expectations.
  • Identify emerging market demands and translate opportunities into a business case with requirements, resource needs, and revenue potential.
  • Evangelize new data service offerings in the market as released by company to maximize client benefit.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Relevant exposure to academic standards in K-12 education and use of taxonomies in the organization of information.
  • Experience working with K-12 education content and technology providers, either as a vendor or client.
  • Strong background in product development and integration with an understanding of web technologies ideal.
  • Demonstrated ability to craft and present compelling business proposals.
  • Self-motivated and independent with excellent questioning and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong knowledge of education market supported by relationships with its leading and emerging players.
  • Superior verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Travel to client sites as needed and to the main Company office (if remote) on monthly basis.
